APA-Accredited Doctoral Psychology Internship Program

The purpose of the psychology internship program is the preparation of psychologists for practice in public mental health settings and diverse communities with underserved populations and serious mental health conditions. Interns gain a broad range of generalist skills for practice as a health service psychologist, while also exploring their emerging professional identities through alliance with a specific interdisciplinary community treatment team throughout the internship year.

Masters Level Internships

Although Marin County BHRS does not currently have a formal MSW Internship training program, BHRS is welcoming of MSW Interns and can facilitate field placements on a case-by-case basis, based on areas of interest, availability of supervisors, and program capacity.

At BHRS, our goal is to ensure a diverse workforce focused on equity to meet the needs of our clients and community.

Marin County is offering scholarships for individuals who are pursuing further education in peer support, substance use, or domestic violence counseling. The goal of the program is to enhance the treatment experience for mental health and substance use clients by promoting the recruitment, hiring, and retention of culturally diverse, inclusive, and engaged workforce with lived experience to work in the mental health and substance use service system.
